Your default
Go to Settings, then Invoicing & Numbering, then Invoices, and set Default payment terms: due on receipt, a number of days, or a number of days after the end of the month. New invoices take their due date from it.
By client type
Switch on Different terms by client type to give Residential, Commercial, Builder or Subcontractor clients their own terms, for example 30 days after the end of the month for builders.
For one client
Open the client and set Payment terms on their page. A client’s own terms come first, then their client type’s, then your default. With nothing set at all, invoices are due in 14 days.
Changing terms never moves the due date of an invoice already raised.
