Questions
Before you ask.
Is each claim a normal invoice?
Yes. It is numbered, approved, sent and synced to Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks like any invoice.
Can my customer check a claim first?
Yes. Send a draft for their review, then send the claim once they agree the figures.
How is retention handled?
A share of each claim is held, then released on its own invoice when it falls due.
Do approved variations get claimed?
Yes. Each approved variation is added to the next claim, once.
What about a deposit we already invoiced?
Mark that stage as already billed, and it counts as claimed, never billed twice.
