Switching add-ons on and off

Add-ons are extra parts of VexOp+ for the way some businesses work. The first is Variations, for pricing a change to a quote your customer has already accepted. Nothing changes for your business until an owner switches an add-on on.

Which plans include them

Add-ons are included in Pro and Enterprise, at no extra cost. On Starter an add-on shows Pro and its switch cannot be used. Its page says which plans include it, and an owner sees See plans there.

If VexOp has switched an add-on off for your business, its page says so, with Ask VexOp to ask for it back.

Switch one on

Only an owner can switch an add-on on or off. Once one is on, your roles decide who uses it: Variations, for example, follows each role’s access to quotes.

1. 1.Go to Settings, then Integrations & Add-ons. The add-ons are under Add-ons, after Accounting.
2. 2.Click an add-on’s name or What changes to open its page: what it adds, who it suits, the plan that includes it and what you will see once it is on. How it works opens its Help Centre article.
3. 3.Switch it on, on its tile or its page. It is on straight away for everyone in your business.

Once it is on

The first time you switch an add-on on, a small panel says it is on, where it lives and its next steps. Show me takes you to each step and points at it: a new menu entry, a section of a job, or a setting to choose. Close the panel when you are done. It shows once for each add-on.

The add-on’s page then starts with Next steps, with the done ones ticked, and the button on its tile reads Settings, or Set up while it still needs setting up, such as AI connections before anyone has connected an AI app.

A menu entry an add-on adds, such as Purchasing, shows New until you first open it.

Recommended for your trade

The add-ons that suit the trade your business chose when it was set up are listed first, under Recommended for your trade. It is only a suggestion: nothing is switched on for you.

Switch one off

Off means hidden for everyone in your business: its sections, menus, reports, search results, notifications, automation triggers and actions, and its part of VexOp Field. Nothing it holds is deleted. Automations that need it show Add-on off and pause.

2. 2.Before anything changes, VexOp says what stays: how many of its records are kept, and how many automations will pause.
3. 3.Click Switch off, or Keep it on to leave it as it is.

Switching it back on

Switch it on again and everything it held is back where it was. Paused automations run again for anything that happens from then on.

If your plan changes to one without the add-on, it goes off, and it comes back on by itself once your plan includes it again.
