Where the review lives
Go to Settings, then Integrations & Add-ons, then Data import. Anything that needs you is listed under Worth a look, below the summary of what came across. Click Review to open a list and Hide to fold it away again.
If there is no Worth a look heading, there is nothing to decide.
Billing copies
To raise a partial invoice, such as a deposit, ServiceM8 copies the job and adds a letter to its number. Job 4476A is a billing copy of job 4476. Left alone, the copy would count as a second job in your reports and searches.
VexOp links the copies it is sure about on its own. The rest are listed here with both job numbers, the client and the site address.
- 1.Same job: the copy is linked to the real job, so the two read as one. Choose this when the numbers and address match and the copy only carries an invoice.
- 2.Separate: the two stay as different jobs. Choose this when the letter means something else in your business, for example a second stage of work you track on its own.
Possible duplicates
If a job was made in VexOp and also exists in ServiceM8, an import could bring it across a second time. For example, ServiceM8 job 7266 and JOB-2026-53045 might be the same work. When the client, address or other details line up, VexOp holds the ServiceM8 job back and asks you instead. Click the VexOp job number to open it in a new tab and check.
- 1.Same job: the job you made in VexOp is kept, and from then on VexOp treats it as that ServiceM8 job. Its own number stays, and you can also find it by the ServiceM8 number.
- 2.Different jobs: the next import brings the ServiceM8 job across as a job of its own.
Your answers stick
Every answer is saved. Check ServiceM8 now brings across new records and changes, and it never asks the same question again or undoes your answer. It also never brings back a record you deleted in VexOp.
You do not have to finish the list in one go. Anything you have not answered waits until you come back. To avoid duplicates in the first place, create new work in one system only while you are still using ServiceM8.
