How kilometres are recorded
When someone taps On my way, in the browser or in VexOp Field, the job moves to On Route and VexOp works out the driving distance by road to the job. The trip and its kilometres are saved on the job.
The phone or browser location is read once, at that tap, and never tracked in the background. When it is not available, the trip starts from the person’s previous job that day, then from your travel base. A distance marked estimated is a straight line.
Your travel base
Set where your team usually leaves from, such as your yard or depot, under Settings, then Business, then Company profile. Without one, your business address is used.
Fixing a trip
If a trip started somewhere else, the person who made it or an owner can click Change start on the trip in the job’s activity and choose the travel base, the previous job or another address. The kilometres are worked out again.
The Travel report
Open Reports, then Travel, and pick a date range. It shows the kilometres per person per week and per job, and downloads as a CSV for your accountant.

Service agreements: visits made for you, assets and renewals
Set up a service plan for a client’s site: the assets you look after, how often you visit and the price. Each visit is made as a job ahead of its date, every asset keeps its history, and you are told before an agreement ends.
