Where templates live
Templates have their own place in Settings: Quotes (terms and conditions, quote wording and layout), Invoices, Other documents, Emails, Texts and Signatures. They are used everywhere VexOp sends something: the composer, automations and your automatic customer notifications.
Merge fields
Merge fields are tokens in single curly braces that VexOp replaces with real values when a message sends. Common ones include {contact_first_name}, {client_name}, {job_number}, {job_address}, {quote_amount}, {invoice_number}, {invoice_amount}, {due_date}, {booking_date}, {booking_time} and {company_name}.
When composing, the picker inserts tokens for you, and the live preview shows the message with real values filled in before you send. If a token would be blank, VexOp warns you rather than sending a half-finished message.
AI writing help
Templates include AI assistance to generate a first draft or improve wording you have written. Review before saving, it is your voice the customer hears.
SMS length
SMS templates support a shorter set of tokens and should aim for one 160 character segment. Longer messages still send but cost more segments.
